Chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP) presents unique challenges for patients in rural and underserved communities, where limited access to specialists and transportation barriers can delay diagnosis and hinder management. Multidisciplinary, team-based strategies that promote close collaboration between various specialties, professions, and the patient are essential to overcoming these obstacles. This CME/CE activity, part of the four-part series entitled Clearing the Air: Collaborative Care Strategies for Chronic Rhinosinusitis With Nasal Polyps in Rural and Underserved Communities, will explore practical approaches for strengthening care coordination, enhancing engagement, and improving adherence through shared decision-making and patient-centered communication. Expert faculty will also highlight how collaborative care models can bridge gaps in care, reduce disparities, and optimize outcomes for patients with CRSwNP in rural and underserved areas.
