Course: Unpacking the Biology and Burden of CRSwNP: A Closer Look at Disease Burden, Symptoms, and Pathophysiology
CME Credits: 0.00
Released: 2025-12-05
Chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP) is a type 2 inflammatory disease that causes persistent sinonasal inflammation, nasal obstruction, loss of smell, and significantly impaired quality of life. In rural and underserved settings, where access to specialty care may be limited, understanding the underlying biology and symptom burden of CRSwNP is essential to timely recognition and management. This CME/CE activity, part of the four-part series entitled Clearing the Air: Collaborative Care Strategies for Chronic Rhinosinusitis With Nasal Polyps in Rural and Underserved Communities, will explore the pathophysiologic mechanisms that drive CRSwNP, the role of type 2 inflammation in disease progression, and the far-reaching impact of uncontrolled symptoms. Through expert discussion and practical insights, faculty will equip participants to better identify and characterize CRSwNP, manage comorbidities, and address clinical challenges. The content for this enduring activity was recorded on October 14, 2025.
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:
